If stars could talk, they would surely save our college days as one of the most unforgettable memories..

Nun, it’s been eight years since we first met. Though it was only a year later that we ended up in the same major, your journey soon took you to Jogja, where you discovered new dreams and purposes for your future. I’ve always believed that no meeting is coincidental or without meaning, and I hold tightly to that belief in our friendship.

As you once said, maybe we don’t talk as much as we used to in recent years. But one thing I deeply treasure is how you never make our conversations feel awkward. You always have something new and interesting to share, and you have a gift for making people feel included and seen. I’ve noticed how you give others the space to share and feel heard, creating conversations that feel natural and meaningful. In case no one has told you this before, I hope you know how special that quality is.

Year after year, we’ve graduated and walked different paths. I know there have been struggles you’ve faced quietly while striving to thrive. And now, as the last month of this year unfolds, I want to take a moment to reflect on your resilience. You’ve endured both joyful times and messy, tear-filled nights. I see how passionate you are about your skills, even in our casual chats. Please don’t ever bury your dreams — they’re so worth pursuing, just like you deserve all the good things that come your way. And if there’s ever a day when you doubt your own light, I promise to remind you how brightly you shine. You are one of the most resilient and inspiring friends I’ve ever had.

Sometimes, I wonder if the universe knew I needed you before I realized it myself. You have this incredible, almost hidden talent for making people feel like they belong, even when they’re unsure of where they fit. It’s a rare gift, Nun. I want to remind you of something: Can you remember who you were before the world told you who you should be? You have every right to define yourself and your place in this world.

This year, you made it to Korea — a place you’ve loved for so long, filled with artists you admire deeply. After everything you’ve been through, I finally got to see the happiness on your face on that snowy. I know there are still many places you dream of visiting, and I hope you never stop believing you can make it happen. The only limits are the ones we set in our minds.

Have you ever thought about this? Sometimes, life isn’t about finding yourself — it’s about creating yourself. I see you in the process of building your own definition of who you are. The insecurities, fears, and sadness don’t define you. Instead, they show how deeply you’re longing to grow into a better person, day by day. I’m so excited to see how all the pieces of your life come together.

Hanun, you are allowed to make a big deal about the things that matter to you. And I’m lucky beyond words to have you as my best friend.

Always,
Zee
